SATIB Africa Botswana (Pty) Ltd is an insurance broker registered with the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA). Our head office is on the ground floor of Plot 64516, Showgrounds Close, Fairgrounds Office Park, Gaborone.

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:

• Contact details such as your name, phone number, email and address.
• Information needed to arrange insurance, such as identity documents, details of property, vehicles and businesses, claims history and, for life and health cover, health information.
• Information about claims you make.
• What you send us through forms on this website.
• Basic technical information about your visit, described under cookies below.

We use personal information to:

• Answer enquiries and prepare quotes.
• Arrange, renew and change insurance policies on your behalf.
• Handle claims with insurers.
• Meet our legal and regulatory duties, including anti-money laundering checks.
• Improve this website, where you have accepted analytics cookies.

We share your information with the insurers and underwriters we approach for you, and with assessors and service providers involved in a claim. Some specialist cover is placed with partners outside Botswana, such as Lloyd's of London, in which case your information may be sent abroad with appropriate safeguards.

We also share information where the law requires it, for example with regulators. We do not sell personal information.

We keep records for as long as you are a client and afterwards for the periods required by insurance and financial regulations, or for as long as a claim could reasonably be made.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and in some cases ask us to delete it or stop using it. Contact us using the details above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to Botswana's Information and Data Protection Commission.
